The online course "Teach for future active citizens" a practical course for teachers" will help meet a real demand in European classrooms where the teacher's new role must include:

► to capitalize on human dignity, human rights, cultural diversity, democracy, justice and the rule of law;

 ► to be open to cultural diversity and to other beliefs, visions , traditions and world views, respectful and responsible, civic-minded, etc.;

► to develop autonomous learning skills, especially analytical, self-regulation skills and critical thinking skills, including cooperation skills, reasoning, conflict resolution and other related skills;

 ► to develop knowledge and critical understanding of self and the world. Moreover, this e- course will train teachers to effectively use the WP3- Web-based platform with the curriculum and resource pack - in their classrooms and equip them with a set of skills necessary to teach students how to live together as democratic citizens in a multicultural society. In this course, we want to reflect on how we can empower our students to learn how to become active citizens in a multicultural society, in different learning settings by creating opportunities of collaboration and by using various methods, strategies and innovative teaching approaches that empower students in their own learning.

In the first Module, Module 1: Foundations of Democratic Citizenship Education we will provide teachers with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and foundations of democratic citizenship education in a multicultural society.

In the second Module, Module 2: Democracy and Rule of Law in Multicultural Societies we will explore the concepts of democracy, justice, and the rule of law, emphasizing their relevance in a multicultural context. 

In the third Module, Module 3: European Union Values and Principles in Education, we will introduce the participants with the core values and principles of the European Union (EU) and integrate them into their teaching practices.

In the fourth Module, Module 4: Cooperation and Conflict Resolution in a Diverse Environment we will guide teachers in fostering cooperation among students and resolving conflicts in a multicultural setting.

In the fifth Module, Module 5: Application and Integration in the Classroom we will help teachers apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their teaching practices.
